But I’ll be honest, it took me a while to appreciate it. I was a picky eater, and while I grew up in the melting pot of the Bay Area, I didn’t embrace its rich culinary landscape until I challenged myself to live a healthier lifestyle. Growing up, fast food was comfort food; and while comforting, it wasn’t flavorful or more importantly, fulfilling. Once I started to take stock of what I put into my body, I began to cook with new flavors and combinations that made me appreciate food in new ways, oftentimes through sauces. Hot sauce became my staple for elevating meals, which made me want to share my newfound appreciation with others. My passion for these flavors prompted me to make a career shift and put my efforts into sauce full-time. Hotter Sauce was born. I’ve dedicated all my efforts into making, re-making, and perfecting sauces that I love and want to share. Hot sauce helped me discover new foods and appreciate more flavors, and I hope Hotter Sauce brings new flavors to you.
